Visit with Aunt Ginger!!

We had a blast visiting with Aunt Ginger. At first Sylas was so very shy of her, but within a day warmed up and was very close to her. We stayed very busy. Ginger took the little four to the park while I took Bryce to the doctor on Friday for strep throat. She had quiet a fun time I guess. Hayden was up to his same antics, saying the obvious, very blunt statements and Sawyer was busy running off. Wyatt and Sylas kept her busy pushing them on swings and going down slides.
Poor Bryce stayed home from school sick with Strep Throat. He felt horrible while she was visiting.
On Saturday 12-11-10 we went to South Padre Island to the beach to take family pictures for our Christmas Card. It was beautiful out!!! Sunny and 85 degrees, can't ask for better weather in December!!! Very windy with 30mph winds and cool water to swim in. Everybody had a fun time! Even though Bryce still wasn't feeling well, he toughed it out and did great. The winds made it hard to get good pics, but I think with Christmas pictures and the Gulf in the background will make great cards this year!! Santa Hats on the boys and of Course Ginger's creation Sandy Claus! She was our version of a Snowman, or Sandman if you will... lol
On Sunday, Ginger and I took Sawyer and Sylas to see Santa. Sylas has been asking for weeks to ask Santa for sunglasses, not just sunglass, but Spongebob sunglasses!!! Right now, Sylas is going through the shy stage, so I didn't think he would go near Santa. Hoping with Sawyer there, he might. Well, that idea didn't work!!! Sawyer didn't want to go near him either! He took one look at him and there was no way. Aunt Ginger even went over there with them and stood between Santa and the boys and they still looked so frightened! Once we walked away Sawyer saw this Scooby-Doo Chia Pet he HAD to have. I told him he had to ask Santa for it... So he slowly walked over, wispering... still not getting very close. It was so funny. He really wanted it, but did not want to go near that man!

By the time we dropped Aunt Ginger off at the airport, Sylas screamed to go with her. He cried the whole way home and kept asking to go to the airport. He missed Aunt Ginger  :( .
